League Rules

General
Be an active owner. We want this league to run as smoothly as possible.
A little trash talking is fine but do not start all out flame wars. There will be repercussions for doing so.
Try to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. No one enjoys being in a league with a bunch of bad sports. Be gracious in victory and in defeat.[/list]

4th Down Rules
You would think 4th Down Rules would be common sense, but they are not. You may not go for it on 4th Down if:
-
1. You may fake punt if on your 45+ if you’re down or tied. (4th and 3 or less).

2. 4th and 1 or less you may go for it anytime if on your 40+. Also , you can go for it if there is 10 seconds or less left in the half or game.

3. 4th and 2 or less you may go for it if you are on opponents side of the field and are down, tied or up 4 or less points.

4. If you are at opponents 37yd line, just short of FG range and you are down, tied, or close you can go for it.

5. If it’s 4th and 2 in the 4th Quarter. and you are down and in opponents territory you can go for it.

6. If it’s 4th down and 2 or less inside the 10yd line.

7. Down 10 points or more in the 4th Quarter you can go for it at anytime.

Onside Kicks

Onside kicks are meant to be used in desperation attempts or to swing momentum at certain points of a game.

You can only attempt an onside kick if....

1. You are down 20 or more in the 3rd quarter
2. Down 13 or more in the 4th quarter
3. Trailing in the 4th quarter with under 3 minutes to go.

Simulation Style
Keep all the cheese out of this league. This includes abusing nano-blitzes, continually running money plays, rolling out of the pocket every play and sprinting backwards with the QB at the snap of the ball.

Disconnects
Nothing is worse than a disconnect. The first thing you should do when getting disconnected during a franchise game and you are left with the option to continue vs CPU is try to contact your opponent on PSN or via the forums. If it is obvious your opponent has quit when there was no way possible of them winning, seek guidance from the League Administration before continuing. Every situation is different so it is impossible to create a rule that is fair to both parties.

Trades
All trades will need to be posted in the Trading Forum and accepted to by both teams. After both teams have accepted, League Administration will either reject, accept or amend the trade proposal. Failure to follow this procedure may result in having your trade reversed.

Offseason Free Agency
At the conclusion of each season, each team will be required to cut a predetermined number and quality of players, based on how their team played during the season. All the free agents will be pooled together and a randomized draft order will be made. The draft will be a snake draft meaning it will go 1-32, 32-1, 1-32, etc, similar to fantasy football drafts.

Rules are subject to change if certain techniques are being exploited or on an as needed basis.

Please, feel free to ask about any other proposed rules regarding 4th down or onside kicks as there are so many different scenarios, its hard to cover them all.
